Backed Up

Yesterday I arrived in school just in the nick of time, as usual. I remember checking my phone for the time: 11:07am. Not too late for my 11am class.

I have recently been driving my sister's car since it's automatic and I was sick longer than usual, I had this neck thing. So my parents thought it would be better I drive an automatic car over a non-powersteering stick shift.

Anyhow, I was down in the school basement parking lot following a Sportivo car. The Sportivo didn't find any parking space, so he decided to try another area and backed up. I was behind him so I backed up too. All of the sudden he was backing up too fast that I had to stop and honk. I was afraid to back up as fast as he did because I might hit something or someone. I honked and honked the hardest. The carpenters, students, and guards at the area ran to us because of my super loud honk, but it was too late- I had been backed up on.

The guy went down and checked the damage. I was shaking. He got on his car again and moved his car, I banged upon his car yelling "don't move it!", but he did. It was wrong to move it even before it got documented. But I had witnesses and plus the other driver immediately claimed it was his fault. I called my dad and we waited. He was willing to settle.

When my dad arrived, he twisted the story- he said while he was backing up, I moved forward. LIAR. But my dad didn't buy it and like I said, I had witnesses.

After a bit of the hard-to-avoid debate, they came to an agreement- my dad and the guy. With the help of the head guard of our school, the guy agreed to pay the amount needed to get the car fixed.

The guy wasn't so bad. I think he twisted the words out of his nervousness. Well, that was pretty much it for yesterday.

Sorry sister. Don't worry, the damaged car will get fixed.

My dad came back to school with the other car and he brought home the damaged car to have it fixed.

I love how my dad's always there. Just one call and he's over. He gets things done and settled so fast.

Thank you dad, I really appreciate it!

Sorry if it doesn't seem like it sometimes. But I really am thankful and appreciative. :)

PS: I didn't make it to my lecture class that day.
